Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentimo Inc. ("Sentimo", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use Sentimo’s websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Sentimo helps paired users send notes (text, drawings, photos) that can be delivered to a partner and printed via a compatible Bluetooth label printer. This means some information is necessary to connect partners, deliver notes, and support printing.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account information: such as email address, display name, and authentication-related details.
  • Profile details: such as a profile photo (optional) and partner nickname (optional).
  • User Content: the notes you create and send (for example, text, drawings, and photos), along with basic metadata (timestamps, delivery/print status).
  • Support communications: information you share when you contact us (for example, for troubleshooting or feedback).

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information: such as device model, operating system version, app version, language/locale, and crash or diagnostic logs.
  • Identifiers: such as mobile push notification tokens (for example, FCM tokens) and internal identifiers needed to keep your account signed in.
  • Usage information: basic interaction data (for example, which screens are used, feature usage, and performance metrics) to improve reliability and user experience.

1.3 Printer and Bluetooth-related information

If you use printing features, the Service may process information required to connect to and interact with a Bluetooth printer. This can include printer identifiers (such as device name and Bluetooth address), connection status, and printer telemetry exposed by the device (for example, battery level).

1.4 Website information

When you visit our website, your browser may send standard web information such as IP address, browser type, and referring page. The website may load resources from third parties (such as Google Fonts and content delivery networks), which may receive your IP address as part of providing those resources.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including sending, receiving, and printing notes).
  • Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and enable partner pairing.
  • Store, transmit, and display your notes and history at your direction.
  • Send service-related messages (such as notifications that a new note is waiting, security alerts, or important updates).
  • Debug issues, prevent abuse, and protect the safety and integrity of the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following ways:

  • With your paired partner: notes you send are delivered to your paired partner and may be stored and displayed in their history.
  • Service providers: we use vendors to help operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, authentication, databases, storage, and push notifications). These providers may process information on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
  • Legal and safety: we may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our terms.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy and any required notices.

4. Third-Party Services (including Firebase)

The Service may use third-party infrastructure to provide core functionality. For example, we may use Google Firebase services (such as authentication, databases, file storage, and push notifications). These services help us securely operate the Service, store note content and metadata, and deliver notifications.

Third-party services may process certain information in accordance with their own terms and policies. We encourage you to review third-party privacy practices when relevant.

5. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining message history, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

You may be able to delete certain information through the Service (for example, deleting notes or deleting your account). Deletion may take time to propagate through backups and logs.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Notifications: you can control push notifications through your device settings.
  • Permissions: you can grant or revoke permissions (such as Bluetooth) through your device settings; some features may not work without them.
  • Access and deletion: you may request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity.
  • Partner pairing: unpairing will prevent future sharing with that partner, but does not automatically delete prior history stored in either account unless deleted separately.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. International Users

If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data protection laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to provide notice.
